R* enabled the snowy weather in GTA Online again, so I entered a Solo Session and got in my Benefactor Dubsta 6x6 to take some Snapmatic photos. I know from past experience that the snow affects races; I wonder if it affects the Heists? Doing the Pacific Standard Heist in the snow would be pretty cool IMO.

I was wondering if the weather would make the A.I. denizens of Los Santos stay in, but they’re still wandering around LOL; I think they do so less frequently, though.

As soon as I get home I may have to take some photos to drop here. Don't want you to be alone in this. One thing I can say is that I switched my Guardian from SUV tires to off-road tires and it definitely makes a difference.

If you’re still on later I may be up for something

Tire choice definitely makes a difference in general; I think all the pro GTA racers use off-road tires on everything that they race.

I’m not gonna be on PC today, but I’m gonna try to be on tomorrow night.

Pro gta racers? That's a thing? I haven't done much racing in the past year or so.

Not in the eSports sense, LOL - there’s a whole crowd of folks, like Broughy1322 on YouTube , who obsess over the different car classes. Cars with off-road tires tend to not get jounced around by curbs and such as badly as cars with other types of tires, so they remain composed and can thus go faster.

I just hopped on Believe it or not, I don’t go 4x4-ing ALL the time, but I’m just about to go make my yearly snow climb up Chiliad in my Mesa.

I won’t be playing GTA V tonight, but good luck with that! You’re certainly more familiar with the terrain than I am LOL. I got rid of my Merryweather Mesa to make room for other stuff, and because I already had the Dubsta 6x6.

Interesting, I just noticed they were more grippy

I think there may be a grip component to it too, but going over curbs is the primary strength of off-road tires.

I really need to buy this game again. Had it on the PS3 but yet to buy it on the Xbox One.

Yeah, they stopped supporting the last-gen consoles with new content/features a while back. I moved from PS3 to PC.

I was on earlier. The snow is fantastic. I love that they actually made it affect the driving dynamics. Made it far more difficult to climb the mountains! Any idea how long they’ll leave the snow up?

They’ve done this every year around this time IIRC, so it’ll probably end sometime tomorrow morning.
